Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a two-piece Leupold base and 1″ rings for optics with a Tasco 4×40.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered walnut stock, with a capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb with cheekpiece, rubber buttpad, a capped forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows very light wear, with a few minor handling marks throughout. The stock’s finish is intact throughout, and the wood grain is vivid and attractive. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. The checkering is well defined with sharp peaks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Fine to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some minor fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear. The bluing is deep and dark throughout. The jeweling on the bolt is vivid and bright. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

The Super Grade walnut stock shows vivid grain and crisp checkering, with only a few minor handling marks and no cracks or chips, presenting in Fine to Excellent condition. The bolt jeweling remains bright, markings are clear, screw heads are sharp, and the action functions correctly with a smooth safety. Overall, this rifle presents as a well-kept and attractive example of a modern Super Grade Model 70, blending classic Winchester styling with contemporary magnum performance.
