Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with “WINCHESTER -TRADEMARK-” and the right side has the serial number on it. The left side of the barrel is marked “-MADE IN U.S.A.- / WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL / WINCHESTER -TRADE MARK- / MODEL 70-264 WIN. MAGNUM”. The scope is marked “6X Redfield”.

Barrel Length: 26”

Sights / Optics: The rifle is equipped with a hooded brass-bead front sight mounted on a serrated ramped base. The rear is a flip up u-notch with adjustable elevation dovetailed into the barrel. Mounted to the receiver is a Redfield 6X scope. The optic is in Very Good condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered wood with a raised cheek rest and a checkered semi-pistol grip and forend. The buttstock has a synthetic butt pad. There are light handling marks, primarily surface scratches and dings, but no significant cracks or chips. The length of pull (LOP) measures approximately 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light wear. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its original metal finish. There is some light handling marks. There are a few scratches and spots of finish wear. The bolt handle shows some light finish wear from operation. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
