Markings: The barrel is marked “Winchester Model 70 — 300 H&H MAGNUM.” The serial number “245894” is clearly stamped on the receiver. Standard Winchester proof marks are visible.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed ramped blade missing its protective hood. The rear sight is an articulating flip-up sight adjustable for elevation. The rifle is mounted with a Burris fixed-power 6X scope. The scope shows clear glass and sharp reticle; the scope body exhibits minor handling marks and is in Very Good overall condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece walnut stock with a pistol grip, checkered panels on the grip and forend, and a checkered steel buttplate. The stock shows moderate handling wear, minor scratches, and marks consistent with regular field use. There are no significant cracks or structural damage observed. A leather sling is installed and is in Good to Very Good condition. The length of pull (LOP) measures 13.5” from the trigger to the back of the buttplate. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains approximately 80% of its original metal finish. Finish thinning is evident on high-contact points, particularly at the muzzle, bolt handle, and trigger guard, as well as scattered wear consistent with field use. The rifle exhibits honest use, showing typical handling marks and minor oxidation on the barrel and receiver. Screw heads remain sharp, pins are unmarred, and markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions smoothly and correctly. The bolt cycles cleanly, and the hinged floorplate operates properly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a mounted Burris 6X scope and a leather sling. No box or paperwork included.
