Our Assessment: For more than a century, Winchester’s Model 1894 has served as the quintessential lever action rifle. The design is still in production today and finds favor with both hunters and those who just like shooting a lever action. This example is a Carbine chambered for .30-30 WCF and shows its age. It still has a great bore and strong mechanics, so it would make a good candidate for restoration and still prove to be a great hunting rifle for years to come. Please see our photos and good luck! – L.S.
