Our Assessment: The Winchester Model 1200 was introduced in 1964 as a less expensive alternative to the Model 12 which could be price competitive with the Remington 870 which had been introduced in 1951. This is a Stainless Marine Model with an 18″ barrel and a Fixed Cylinder choke. It retains the vast majority of its original finish which is just as eye-catching as it is durable. This is an excellent firearm to add to a Winchester collection that doesn’t have a 1200 yet and would make just as fine a security shotgun as it did the day it left the factory. Please see our photos and good luck!
