Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a spring leaf, semi buckhorn, with elevator, dovetailed into the barrel. There is a peep sight installed on the tang.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut. The forend has a light Schnabel tip. The buttstock has a straight comb, straight grip, and steel crescent buttplate. The LOP measures 13 1/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are a few minor scratches and marks overall. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains approximately 98% of the blued finish. There are minimal handling marks. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Browning’s legendary single-shot falling block rifle, one of the strongest and most refined actions of the black powder era. Originally introduced in the 1880s, the High Wall earned its reputation in both target shooting and big-game hunting due to its exceptional strength, simplicity, and accuracy potential. This 2004 limited-series production revisits that heritage with modern manufacturing precision while preserving the long, elegant lines and mechanical purity that define the 1885 design, a lineage closely associated with Winchester Repeating Arms.
Chambered in .45-90 WCF and marked for black powder use, this rifle is fitted with an imposing 34 inch octagonal barrel that emphasizes velocity, balance, and sight radius, hallmarks of late 19th century long-range single-shot rifles. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion present, earning a 10 out of 10 bore rating. Approximately 98 percent of the original blued finish remains, with only minimal handling marks noted. The metal surfaces present evenly, screw heads are sharp, and all markings remain crisp and legible, supporting an overall Excellent condition assessment.
The two-piece checkered walnut stocks feature a light schnabel-tipped forend and a straight-grip buttstock with straight comb and steel crescent buttplate, all executed in classic Winchester style. Only a few minor scratches and handling marks are present, and the stocks rate Excellent overall. A tang-mounted peep sight is installed, complementing the barrel-mounted iron sights and reinforcing the rifle’s period-correct long-range configuration.
