Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 9410 SHOTGUN – .410 BORE 2 1/2? ONLY / -MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-”. The top of the barrel is marked with a circled “WP” proof. The underside of the receiver to the left of the lever link is marked “SG05123”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a green fiber optic rod on a ramped base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a wide “V”-notch leaf and elevator sight dovetailed to the rear of the barrel with a white triangle aiming reference. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled at the chamber ring and to each side of the bolt for a scope mount (none included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with straight grip, banded forend, and solid black rubber Winchester buttpad. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. There is only very minor handling wear. The stocks are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion. This shotgun does not appear to have been fired past the factory testfire. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is strong and complete throughout. There are a couple minor scratches, mostly on the receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and smoothly. The shotgun has a rebounding hammer, crossbolt safety, and a lever safety. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Winchester Model 9410 represents Winchester’s modern adaptation of the classic Model 1894 platform into a lightweight, smooth-handling lever-action shotgun. Produced in the early 2000s at the New Haven facility, the 9410 was designed as a refined small-bore sporting arm, blending traditional Winchester lever-gun ergonomics with contemporary safety features. Chambered for .410 bore 2½-inch shells and fitted with a 24-inch barrel, this model reflects Winchester Repeating Arms Company’s effort to deliver a high-quality niche shotgun appealing to upland shooters, small-game hunters, and collectors alike.
The fixed cylinder-bore barrel provides a versatile pattern suitable for close-range applications, while the modern sighting arrangement combines a green fiber-optic front bead with a wide V-notch rear sight featuring a white triangle reference. The bore remains bright with no erosion and shows no indication of use beyond the factory test fire, earning a 10 out of 10 rating. Factory scope-mount provisions remain present and filled, preserving the shotgun’s original configuration while allowing future optic installation if desired.
Overall condition is excellent. Approximately 97 percent of the original blued finish remains, with only a few minor handling marks visible, primarily on the receiver. The checkered walnut stocks are exceptionally well preserved, showing only very light handling wear and no cracks or chips, and the original Winchester rubber buttpad remains intact. Mechanical function is smooth and correct, with the rebounding hammer, crossbolt safety, and lever safety all operating as intended. With its box included and strong overall presentation, this Model 9410 stands as a highly desirable example of Winchester’s modern lever-action shotgun production, offering both collector appeal and refined craftsmanship in a seldom-seen configuration.
