Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 9410 SHOTGUN – .410 BORE 2 1/2? ONLY / -MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-”. The top of the barrel is marked with a circled “WP” proof. The underside of the receiver to the left of the lever link is marked “SG21218”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a green fiber optic rod on a ramped base screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a wide “V”-notch leaf and elevator sight dovetailed to the rear of the barrel with a white triangle aiming reference. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled at the chamber ring and to each side of the bolt for a scope mount (none included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with straight grip, banded forend, and solid black rubber Winchester buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. There are a couple minor handling marks. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad shows minor wear. The stocks are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is strong and complete throughout. There is no notable operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and smoothly. The shotgun has a rebounding hammer, crossbolt safety, and a lever safety. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Winchester 9410 is a clever and desirable modern adaptation of the classic Model 1894 lever action—this time reimagined as a smoothbore shotgun chambered in .410 bore. Manufactured from 2001 to 2006, the 9410 was a limited-production run that has since gained collector interest for its uniqueness and utility. Designed to handle 2½” shells, this .410 is ideal for small game, varmint control, and as a practical, nostalgic ranch gun.
This example is particularly clean, retaining about 99% of its original finish with excellent walnut furniture, sharp checkering, and little sign of handling. The 24″ barrel features a bright bore, a fixed cylinder choke, and practical sights—a green fiber-optic front and adjustable rear—making this shotgun a surprisingly capable field companion. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics, adding modern versatility to a traditional design.
With its smooth cycling, factory box, manual, and beautiful condition, this 9410 is a top-shelf example of one of Winchester’s most interesting modern lever-action offerings.
