Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “USE ONLY / 240 WBY MAG”. The left side of the receiver is marked with the Weatherby “W” logo, “WEATHERBY / SHERIDAN, WY / MARK V / MADE IN U.S.A.”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The floorplate is marked “BACKCOUNTRY”, along with a topographical scene.
Barrel Length: 24″ Fluted, #1 Mod Contour; Threaded, 1/2×28 Thread Pitch. Thread Protector Included.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece Peak 44 Blacktooth carbon fiber stock, with a semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, 3D Hex rubber recoil pad, and sling studs front and rear. The stock is finished with a grey and white sponge pattern accent. The LOP measures 13 5/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light handling and storage wear, with the only notable imperfection being one small superficial scratch at the top of the left side of the wrist. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play, while keeping the barrel completely free-floating all the way to the action. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with a couple of scratches on the top of the barrel, and some light operational wear on the bolt. Otherwise, the finish is intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The factory installed TriggerTech trigger breaks at about 4.6 pounds, but it is user-adjustable. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. This rifle weighs 5 pounds on the scale.

Introduced as part of Weatherby’s push toward ultra-light, high-performance hunting rifles, the Backcountry 2.0 TI emphasizes portability without abandoning the strength and smoothness that have defined the Mark V platform for decades. The use of a titanium receiver and a carbon fiber stock reflects a clear intent to serve hunters operating in steep, remote terrain where every ounce matters.
Chambered in .240 Weatherby Magnum, this rifle pairs a flat-shooting, high-velocity cartridge with a 24-inch fluted barrel to maximize ballistic efficiency. The .240 Weatherby Magnum, introduced in the 1960s, has long been appreciated for its combination of mild recoil, exceptional velocity, and excellent long-range performance on light to medium game.
