Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “USE ONLY 30-378 WBY MAG. / (WEATHERBY MAG.)”. The left side of the receiver is marked “MARK V / U.S. PATENT NO. 3,013,355”, “WEATHERBY / ATASCADERO, CA”, and “MADE IN U.S.A.”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The bottom of the trigger guard is marked with the Weatherby “W” logo.
Barrel Length: 26”. 28” with the radial muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The receiver is mounted with a one-piece Weaver-style scope mount for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece fiberglass stock, with a semi-pistol grip, monte carlo comb, H-S precision buttpad, and sling rings front and rear. The stock is finished with a matte gel coat and spiderweb accents. There is a black nylon sling attached to the stock. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light wear, with only a couple minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. The stock fits the barreled action tightly, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with some dings and finish wear on the bottom metal/trigger guard, and a few scattered scratches on the receiver and barrel. The stainless fluted barrel shows the most cosmetic imperfections, but the stainless finish is still bright, and presents zero corrosion. The bluing on the receiver is deep and dark throughout. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has a crisp and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
