Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with scattered scratches and dings throughout the metal surfaces, along with some light freckling of surface corrosion on the muzzle brake, and on the front of the barrel. There is some operational wear on the bolt. Otherwise, the finish is largely intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are lightly tooled, but retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope base as mentioned above.

Our Assessment: The Weatherby Mark V Accumark chambered in .30-378 Weatherby Magnum represents one of the most extreme expressions of Roy Weatherby’s high-velocity design philosophy. Introduced as a necked-down evolution of the .378 Weatherby Magnum, the .30-378 was engineered to deliver exceptional velocity, flat trajectory, and long-range energy that few cartridges can rival. Paired with the Mark V action, renowned for its strength and nine-lug locking system, this Accumark was purpose-built for extended-range hunting and precision shooting where power and consistency are paramount.

This example dates to the mid-1990s Atascadero, California production era and is fitted with a 26-inch two-tone stainless barrel with blued flutes, extended to approximately 28 inches overall with the radial muzzle brake installed. The rifle retains about 95 percent of its original metal finish, with light handling marks, scattered minor scratches, and some freckling of surface corrosion on the muzzle brake and forward barrel area. The bolt shows expected operational wear. The bore remains bright with sharp rifling and rates 9.5/10, with only fouling noted and no visible erosion.

The fiberglass Accumark stock with spiderweb-accented gel coat finish is in excellent condition, fitting the action tightly with no chips, cracks, or structural concerns. Overall, this rifle presents as a well-maintained example of Weatherby’s flagship long-range magnum platform, combining immense velocity potential with a proven action and rugged Accumark configuration. It stands as a compelling representation of Weatherby’s pursuit of maximum ballistic performance during the cartridge’s early production years.
