Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “G R DOUGLAS / 375 H&H”, and a circled “XX” proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked “MARK V”, patent numbers, and “Weatherby / SOUTH GATE, CALIF.” The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 24”. 25 1/2″ with radial muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The receiver is mounted with a Redfield 1 3/4-5x scope with a wide-angle crosshair reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows no notable wear. Overall, the scope rates in Excellent condition. The scope is mounted on a one-piece picatinny rail, and sits in 1” quick-detach rings. The scope comes with Butler Creek brand flip-up scope covers.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece smooth walnut with a capped semi-pistol grip, monte carlo comb with cheekpiece, vented rubber buttpad, and an black tipped forend. There is a black nylon sling attached to the stock. The LOP measures 13 5/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light wear, with a few scattered scratches and dings throughout. The stock fits the barreled action tightly, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some fouling on the grooves. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with a few dings in the finish on the barrel, and a few minor dings in the finish on the trigger guard. The action shows light operational wear. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are tooled, but retain serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has a light, crisp, and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
