Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine-Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.
Our Assessment: This is a beautiful Weatherby Mark V that was manufactured in 1966 by J.P. Sauer & Sohn in West Germany. These earlier Mark V productions typically carry a 20%-30% premium. This rifle has an excellent bore and a clean, light trigger. There are small amounts of oxidation but they aren’t deep into the finish and will likely come off with some oil and very light cleaning with steel wool. Please see our photos and good luck!
