Markings: Left shoulder top barrel marked “20 GA–3″ / ATASCADERO, CALIF MADE IN JAPAN”. Right shoulder top barrel marked in gold inlay “Weatherby ATHENA”. Underside lower barrel marked “W”. Underside mono-block marked “3AC6C”, the serial number, “F005017”, and “NP”. Interior forend iron marked with serial number, “F005017”. Receiver notch marked with serial number, “F005017”. Receiver, forend iron, screws feature scroll engraving, receiver sides have gold pheasant inlays.
Barrel Length: 26” with checkered vent rib and partial mid-rib.

Choke: This shotgun utilizes screw-in chokes. These include Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified.
Sights/Optics: This shotgun is mounted with brass bead at the front. The top of the rib is checkered to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stocks are two-piece American Claro walnut with semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and a textured black rubber buttpad. The right side of the comb has a few light nicks. Otherwise, the stocks are free of notable wear or damage. The drop is 1 3/8” at the comb and 2 7/8” at the heel. The cast is ever so slightly off. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stocks rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: Both bores are bright and there is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The vent rib has intermittent minor nicks along the edges. Screws are sharp. All markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel lock up is tight. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all previously owned firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This shotgun includes its serial-matching Weatherby factory box, the chokes listed above along with a choke key, a lock, and the manual.
