Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther logo, “MADE IN USA”, and “UNDER LICENSE OF / CARL WALTHER WAFFENFABRIK Ulm/Do / Modell PPK/S Cal. 9mm kurz/.380 ACP”. The grips are marked “WALTHER”. The right side of the barrel is marked “INTERARMS / ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA” and features the serial number “026301”. The barrel has the proof mark “VA”. The right side of the frame is also marked with the serial number.

Barrel Length: 3 ¼”

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade integral to the slide with white dot at the muzzle. The rear sight is a dovetailed square with white square at the rear end of the slide. The slide is also serrated to reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grips are two piece black checkered plastic. The grips have mild handling wear with some minor marks along the smooth borders. The checkering remains sharp. Overall the grips are in Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion but there is some stubborn fouling in the grooves.

Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 97% of its finish. The safety decocker has taken a plum hue. There are some faint scratches on the slide. The frame shows some minor handling marks. The markings are clear. The screw head remains sharp. Overall this pistol is in Fine-Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has minor play to the frame. The safety acts as a decocker. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: One 7-round magazine is included.

Our Assessment:  The Walther PPK/S is a well designed handgun, this particular variant takes .380 ACP ammunition. The PPK/S was introduced to the US market in 1968 in response to new import requirements imposed at that time. The handgun has remained a popular choice for carry ever since. This particular PPK/S was produced under contract by Interarms in Virginia for Walther. It retains about 97% original finish and is in Fine-Plus condition. Please see our photos and good luck!
