Markings: The bottom of the receiver is marked “VERONA” the top of the receiver under the tang is marked “174135”. The receiver is engraved and inlaid with various bird scenes. The 20 Gauge barrel set is marked “ECC BOULDER CITY, NV-MADE IN ITALY WARNING: READ OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE USE / 20 GA. 3”Chamber”. The left side under the handguard is marked “CAM 76 15.9” and “KGI 320 15.9” with proofs. The underside of the block is marked “174135 BT” Along with several proofs. The forend iron is marked “174135”. The 28 Gauge barrel set is marked “ECC BOULDER CITY, NV-MADE IN ITALY WARNING: READ OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE USE / 28 GA. 2 3/4” Chamber”. The left side under the handguard is marked “CAM 70 14.0” and “KGI 280 14.1” with proofs. The side of the bloc is marked “28/70”. The underside of the block is marked “06193 BT” Along with several proofs. The forend iron is marked “06193”.
Barrel Length: Both barrel sets are 30” vent rib barrel sets.
Choke: The 28 GA set is currently installed with improved modified over improved cylinder. The 20 gauge set is currently installed with modified over improved cylinder. Also includes a 20 Gauge FULL, Modified, and Cylinder. Also 28 GA Modified, Cylinder, and Full.
Sights / Optics: Both Barrel sets have a white bead front sight fixed to the rib. There is also a smaller brass mid bead. Both ribs are checkered for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture on this shotgun is a three piece checkered Walnut furniture set. The LOP measures 14.25” from the trigger to the rear of the buttpad. The stock is a full pistol grip, with right hand palm swell and shelf, fluted straight comb stock with rubber vented buttpad. The stock shows almost no signs of wear. The rubber buttpad is soft and pliable with little to no wear. The forends are a traditional style, checkered, full finger shelf friends. The forends show very fine lines that are barely noticeable. The checkering is sharp. Overall, the wood is in about Excellent to Like New Condition.
Type of Finish: Blued and Silver.
Finish Originality: Original.
Bore Condition: The 28 gauge smooth bores are mirror bright with no erosion or marks. In this writer’s opinion the 28 gauge bores rate 10/10. The 20 gauge smooth bores are mirror bright with no erosion and some minor plastic fouling from wads. In this writer’s opinion the 20 gauge bores rate 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The blueing on the barrels show a few extremely minor scattered marks. All of the engraved surfaces are not only beautiful but in Like New condition. The shotgun overall is in Excellent Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including the ejectors. The shotgun features a single selective trigger. There is zero movement between the barrels and frame. The safety does NOT set automatically when the action is opened but functions properly when manually set. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
