There are some scattered light scuffs and scratches. The action shows operational wear. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle comes with a green canvas sling. It shows scrapes on the metal end tab and minor wear in the canvas. It is in about Very Good-Fine condition. There is a cleaning rod set in a green canvas case stored in the buttstock.
Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1 Garand was made back in 1943. The metal and wood have been refinished so the rifle looks good for its age. This M1 Garand is a 77 year old service rifle that can still do a lot of work out at the range. It should add nicely to your collection.
