Our Assessment: This Uberti-made Colt Paterson reproduction brings to life one of the most iconic early American revolvers. First introduced in the 1830s, the Colt Paterson was Samuel Colt’s original revolver design, and while delicate by modern standards, it laid the foundation for all future Colt percussion arms. Uberti’s reproduction closely follows the original in form and function, right down to the folding trigger and lack of a loading lever, with a separate loading tool provided for capping and seating balls.
This particular example, made in 1991, is in Very Good condition with strong finish retention and a bright, sharp bore. The matching serial numbers and complete roll-engraved cylinder scene add collector appeal. The 7.5″ barrel and sleek profile make it a favorite among black powder enthusiasts seeking historical authenticity.
Whether you’re a collector of reproduction Colts, a black powder shooter, or someone looking to own a faithful recreation of a true piece of firearms history, this Uberti Paterson is a worthy addition. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid! -M.C.
