Markings: The bottom of the barrel is marked “CAL .36 / BLACK POWDER ONLY / A UBERTI-ITALY” The bottom of the frame is marked “JBH396” The cylinder is marked “PATENT NO / ENGRAVED BY W.L.ORMSBY NEW YORK” The spine is engraved ‘J.B. HICKOCK” The whole frame, spine, hammer, the muzzle and part of the barrel are hand engraved.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a bead. The rear sight is a V notch in the hammer.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are 2 piece Faux Ivory grips. The left grip depicts an eagle with Liberty under it. There are some minor scratches on the grips. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Very Good Overall Condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. The bore rates 8/10
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows mild operational wear. There is a turn line on the cylinder. There are light scratches on the frame and barrel. The screw heads are Sharp. The pins are Unmarred. The markings are Clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Modeled after the Colt 1851 Navy, in honor of the Legendary Wild Bill Hickok, The American Historical Foundation contracted Uberti to manufacture these Limited Edition Hand engraved Hickcok revolvers. They only made 500, and this is number 396 out of that 500. With its beautiful finish, engraving, and all its accessories put into its custom display box make this an absolutely breathtaking piece of art. This is a must have for any collector!
