Markings: The import mark under the barrel reads “CDI SWAN VT M38 SWEDEN 6.5X55 CAL”. The top of the receiver is marked “HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS / AKTIEBOLAG / 1942”. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The bolt assembly is marked with the last 3 digits of the serial number in 3 places; 1 marking is in electric pencil. The rear of the buttplate is marked with the last 3 digits of the serial number. Most of the metal parts are marked with a small “crown”. The front sight is marked “+025”. The front sight base is marked “-0”. The small wedge on the marking disk is marked above the “1”. The medium wedge is unmarked. The large wedge is marked above “6,51”. The bottom of the grip is marked with a small “crown”.
Barrel Length: Approximately 23 ¾ Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a tall bladed post. The rear sight is a “U” notched blade attached to a sliding sight escalator marked from “1 – 6”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece hardwood stock has a straight grip, finger grooves, hole for the included cleaning rod, metal nose cap, barrel band, two sling loops, marking disk, and a metal buttplate. The buttplate shows scratches and light surface erosion. The nosecap & barrel band show scratches and thinning. The wood shows several scrapes, scratches & compression marks. Many of the marks have damaged small portions of the surface wood. Most of the marks have been oiled over. The LOP measures 14 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The grooves and the area near the muzzle are light grey. The rifling is deep. There is erosion in the grooves and near the muzzle.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 70% of its metal finish. The metal shows scrapes, scratches, and thinning. The bottom metal shows heavy thinning. The bottom metal screw heads show heavy use. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle comes with a web sling with leather keepers. It shows discoloration on the webbing as well as creasing and surface loss on the leather. is in about Very Good Plus condition. condition.
