Action Type: Top Lever, Break Action Over/Under Shotgun with Ejectors and mechanical single selective trigger. Auto resetting safety.   

Markings:  The bottom of the receiver is marked “STURM RUGER & CO. INC / SOUTHPORT , CONN / U.S.A. “ The serial number “420-15596” is stamped on the upper tang. The left side of the breech clock is stamped “ 28 GA. 2 3/ 4” CHAMBER”.  

Barrel Length: 26” Vent ribbed barrel.  

Choke:  MOD/Improved Cylinder (Removable)

Sights/Optics: There is a brass bead fixed to the front of the barrel rib. The top of the rib is serrated to reduce glare.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The furniture set is a two-piece wood with checkered straight grip, fluted straight comb, and a black rubber buttpad. The forend is a checkered thin rounded profile forend. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The wood shows some age and minor scratches from being stored but very limited operational wear. The wood shows no chips or cracks. The butt pad shows virtually no wear. Overall the wood and buttpad are in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: Both bores are very bright and there is no erosion. The barrels show very minor lines and some plastic fouling in the forcing cones most likely from not cleaned after firing. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9/10.   

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The action is very clean showing some operational use. The upper tang and sides of the receiver show some minor discoloration from the stock finish. In its current state this shotgun is in excellent condition.  

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lock up is tight with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This shotgun comes with the original the Box and inserts and paperwork.
