The forend is a checkered thin rounded profile forend. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt pad. The drop at comb is 1.5” and the drop at heel is 2.5”. The shotgun weighs 7lbs 9OZ. The wood shows some age from being stored and the stock to receiver fit is slightly loose. The wood shows no chips or cracks. The butt pad shows virtually no wear. The cap for the pistol grip shows some minor surface rust on the edges. Overall the wood and butt pad are in Like New condition with the cap showing minor surface rust.
Type of Finish: Blued Barrel Assembly with Stainless Steel Receiver and Forend Iron
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: Both bores are very bright and there is no erosion. The barrels show very minor lines and some plastic fouling in the forcing cones most likely from being test fired and not cleaned afterwards. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. It is this writer’s opinion that this shotgun was purchased and stored in the box from 1985. The original oil is caked around the monobloc. The recesses of the barrel set and action show some rust freckling from being stored. The rest of the barrel set shows similar condition with caked oil and some minor rust in the recesses and in the serrations of the rib. The action is very clean showing on some minor rust spots that should be easy to remove from the stainless. I believe with a proper cleaning and some TLC this shotgun should be able to be brought back to almost like new condition. In its current state this shotgun is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lock up is tight with no play. The stock is slightly loose to the receiver. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This shotgun includes the manual, paperwork, Box and inserts.
