Our Assessment: The Ruger No. 1 Model 11366 in .250 Savage is a rare and highly sought-after single-shot rifle that blends classic design with modern craftsmanship. This particular model was produced in 2011 as a limited-run Lipsey’s exclusive, featuring a 22-inch stainless steel barrel and receiver, paired with a beautifully checkered walnut stock and the distinctive Alexander Henry-style forearm. The rifle employs Ruger’s legendary Farquharson-style falling-block action, renowned for its strength and reliability, and includes a tang-mounted safety for ambidextrous operation. Integral scope mounts are machined directly into the quarter rib, providing a stable platform for optics, and Ruger rings are included.

Chambered in the classic .250 Savage cartridge—also known as the .250-3000—this rifle offers mild recoil and excellent ballistics, making it ideal for medium game hunting and precision shooting. Its single-shot configuration encourages deliberate marksmanship, appealing to both collectors and traditionalists. The Model 11366 stands out not only for its elegant stainless-and-walnut aesthetic but also for its scarcity, as Ruger No. 1s in .250 Savage are seldom seen on the market. Whether you’re a discerning hunter or a collector of fine American rifles, this Ruger No. 1 offers a unique blend of performance, craftsmanship, and heritage.
