Markings: The bottom of the receiver is marked “132-03357”. The left side of the barrel is marked “7×57”.  The top of the barrel is marked with a 2-Line Ruger Warning/Address.  The top of the receiver is marked “RUGER / No.1”. The Scope is marked “SIMMONS WHITETAIL 3-9×40 WA”.

Sights / Optics: There are no front or rear sight provisions. Currently mounted to the rifle is a Simmons Whitetail 3-9x40WA for wide angle. The scope has a simple duplex reticle, with covered ¼ MOA turrets. The Scope shows some very minor handling wear and is in Very Fine overall condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The furniture set is a two piece checkered walnut with traditional capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb, two sling studs front and rear, and rubber buttpad. The forend shows some minor handling wear and wear from use. The stock has a semi-large scratch on the right flank of the stock above the rear stud.    The checkering is crisp and the peaks are sharp.  There are no chips or cracks.  The LOP measures 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad.  The furniture rates in about Very Good to Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish.  The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. The metal surfaces of the rifle show only minor handling wear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine to Very Fine condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. The lever lockup is strong. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. Tang Safety.
