Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with light scratches and scuffs scattered throughout the metal surfaces. There are a couple patches of corrosion on the barrel- on the right side towards the muzzle, and on the left side towards the chamber. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads range from tooled to sharp, but all retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: This Ruger M77 Mark II All-Weather is a solid, well-preserved example that presents and functions as described. The Ruger M77 line dates back to the late 1960s, and Ruger’s Mark II refinements (including the All-Weather variants) were introduced as part of the company’s ongoing updates to the platform in the late 1980s and thereafter, giving shooters a rugged controlled-round-feed hunting rifle with modernized features. Chambered in 7.62×39, this cartridge was developed in the early 1940s as an intermediate military round and became widely known for use in the SKS and AK-47 family of rifles; it offers effective, controllable performance at short to medium ranges.
Mechanically, the action cycles correctly and the included Weaver K4 Micro Track 4x optic is clear and in excellent condition, making the rifle ready for hunting or recreational range use. The metal surfaces show only light handling wear with scattered minor scratches and a few small patches of surface corrosion near the muzzle, while the synthetic stock is intact and free of structural damage; overall the rifle presents in Very Good condition. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10/10, which will support the rifle’s accuracy and longevity. This example will suit a buyer seeking a practical, ready-to-use hunting rifle in a classic bolt action platform. Please check out our high quality photos, and good luck on your bids! – J.D.
