Markings: The top of the barrel is marked with a warning over “——STURM, RUGER & CO. INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A.——”. The left side of the barrel is marked “.22 HORNET” and a proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “720-01853”, “RUGER 77/22”, “®”, and a Ruger phoenix logo. The bolt is serial-matching, and is hand-scribed “01853 / AD”. The grip cap and buttplate are marked with the Ruger phoenix logo.

Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver rib is notched for the attached Ruger rings which have mounted a Leupold Vari-X III scope 2.5-8x. The scope body has a few light nicks, the glass is clear, and overall it rates in Fine condition.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered wood with pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are sling studs on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. The stock is free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The receiver has taken on a distinct plum hue. The barrel has a few minor nicks along the top. The action has light operational wear. The screws show light toolmarks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
