Markings: The top of the barrel is marked with a warning over “——RUGER NEWPORT, NH U.S.A.——”. The left side of the barrel is marked “.22 WMR” and a proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “703-80278”, “RUGER 77/22”, “®”, and a Ruger phoenix logo. The bolt is serial-matching, and is hand-scribed “80278”. The grip cap and buttpad are marked with the Ruger phoenix logo.

Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver rib is notched for the attached Ruger rings which have mounted a Leupold VX-1 2-7x scope. The scope has scattered light nicks most notable on either of the bells, the glass is fairly clear, and overall rates in Very Good condition.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered wood with pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are sling studs on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. There are minor handling marks, but otherwise the stock is free of any notable wear or damage. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock rates in Fine-plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The receiver has taken on a minor plum hue. There are otherwise only light handling marks. This rifle is free of any notable wear or damage. The screws have minor toolmarks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
