Markings: The bottom of the dust cover is marked “STI INTERNATIONAL / GEORGETOWN, TX USA”. The top of the chamber is marked “9 X 19”. The right side of the frame is marked “2011” and with the serial number. The right side of the slide is marked with the STI Texas logo.
Barrel Length: 4.0” Bull Barrel
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon blade with a tritium insert, it is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a Heinie Trijicon square notch with a serrated rear face and a single tritium lamp below the notch, it is dovetailed and screw set to the slide. The rear sight has a vertical font face for one-handed slide racking. The lamps are bright and easily acquired in low light.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The trigger guard and grip frame are one piece, made of high strength synthetic material, in black, showing a stippled pattern. The pattern looks like the STI “Tree Bark” pattern. The grip has some light handling wear but no major defects. The grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is a little ding on the front of the magazine well. Some of the leading edges and corners have faint wear. There is light handling and operational wear. The grip screws are undamaged and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: This pistol has ambidextrous thumb safeties, an adjustable trigger, crisp trigger, short reset, strong mainspring, skeletonized hammer & trigger, the grip safety has a rise to index one’s palm correctly each time. The slide and frame have superb mating and is very smooth. The action works correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a 20-round magazine, serial matching box, STI soft case, and paperwork including the manual. The mag and soft case are in about Excellent condition, the box rates Fine with some light wear from storage. Please note, no magazine will be included if prohibited by your local laws.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. The design is one of the most beloved and has gone through many design changes such as modular frames like this Tactical Double Stack from STI. The Tactical DS was introduced in 2015 in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP and features night sights, a 2011 double stack modular grip, 4.0” bull barrel, railed frame, the recoil master system, skeletonized hammer & trigger, ambidextrous safeties, an indexing bump beavertail safety, and forward & rear slide serrations. This one has been kept in beautiful condition by a previous owner and does not look like it has seen much use at all and comes with one magazine, its original box, and a soft case. This would make a great shooter, concealed carry gun, or just a simple plinker for those who only want the best, so considering dropping a bid on this Tactical DS! Please see our photos and good luck!
