Our Assessment: This Model 1894 Krag-Jorgensen was made as a contract rifle for Norway way back in 1897. This Krag has rare markings on the receiver as well as matching numbers on the bolt handle, cocking piece, rear sight base, and magazine follower. Only 10,000 Model 1894 Krags were made by Steyr in 1897. Total Model 1894 Krag production by Steyr was 33,500 rifles in 1896 & 1897. This one has been refinished & looks great for its age. Krags made by Steyr are prized by collectors. This Model 1894 will add to any Krag collection.
