Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None

Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory Model 1892 Krag Rifle is a (bit) confusing but very interesting rifle. It is a Model 1892, but it is correctly marked “1894” on the receiver. According to page 254 of The American Krag Rifle and Carbine by Joe Poyer, Model 1892 receivers are marked “1894”. This 1892 Krag Rifle was made way back in November of 1894. It is 126 years old and has seen some use requiring the stock’s grip to be repaired. It still has nice markings on the receiver as well as an inspector’s cartouche on the stock. The bore is not the brightest but the rifle can still do plenty of work. Best of all this Model 1892 Krag is an antique so No FFL is required…unless you live in California.
