Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1C Garand was made back in 1945. After WWII it was rebuilt and converted to an M1C Garand Sniper. It was purchased through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). A 2 piece Griffin & Howe mount now holds an M82 scope to the rifle. This M1C comes with a cheek piece and M2 flash hider that are consistent with the use of an M1C Sniper. The rifle & scope are held in a nice CMP hardcase and come with a CMP Certificate. The CMP Certificate lists the rifle’s serial number and lists the rifle as an “M1C Garand”. This is a nice package for your collection.
