The top of the bayonet scabbard is marked “U.S. inside a flaming bomb”. The scabbard shows scrapes & scratches. The scabbard metal also shows oxidation. Overall the bayonet & scabbard are in about Very Good condition.

Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1 Garand was made back in 1945. After WWII it saw service in a U.S. friendly country. The rifle was eventually imported back into the U.S. for sales to the civilian market and is marked accordingly on the barrel. The rifle has been refinished but still has deep markings on the metal & wood. The markings are correct for the rifle’s  serial number. This M1 Garand comes with an M1 Bayonet & Scabbard. It will add to your Military or WWII collection.
