Follower: Unmarked – Used by all 4 manufacturers (page 83).
Receiver Leg: “C 1 2 D”, and “D 28291 3 S A” – Correct for the Springfield serial number (page 29).
Op Rod: “7790722-RA” and “NM” on the top – A Springfield National Match part (page 71).
Barrel: “SA 6535448 5 63 Y24”, “P” and “M” – A Springfield part (page 63 – 64).

The stock and sights are described below.
Barrel Length: Approximately 24 Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture sight set between two protective wings. The windage knob is marked “LEFT arrow” twice and “WRIGHT”. The elevation knob is marked from “2-12” in increments of two and “S A”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is unmarked.
The hardwood stock has a pistol grip, metal nose caps, a stacking loop, two sling loops, and a metal buttplate with hinged door for storage in the butt. We found cleaning gear stored in the butt. The buttplate shows several small scrapes & scratches as well as discoloration from oxidation. The stock shows several scrapes, scratches, and compression marks. Many have damaged small portions of the surface wood. Most of these marks have been finished over. The LOP measures 13 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The grooves are dark and the rifling is deep. There is erosion in the grooves. The bore shows an M.E. of 4.7. The throat shows a T.E. of 3.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 85% of its metal finish as refinished. The receiver, including the interior and underside, shows surface erosion. The receiver legs have surface erosion showing through the finish. The bottom of the trigger group shows light surface erosion. The metal shows scrapes & small scratches. Most of the marks are on the gas tube. The right side of the receiver shows some light thinning consistent with cycling. Most of the markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Good condition as refinished.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Cleaning tools are stored in the butt. They include a 4 piece cleaning rod, chamber brush, combo tool, and a grease pot. These are in about Very Good condition.
