Markings: The right side of the frame is marked with “S.I. GENESEO IL USA / MADE IN BRAZIL-IMBEL / WW94860”. The right side of the slide is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY”. The left side of the slide is marked “MODEL 1911-A1”.  The top of the barrel is marked “S.A. .45 AUTO”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small blade with a serrated rear face that is fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a flat top U-notch that is dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered plastic. The grips show minor handling wear with a few scattered minor nicks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The back strap is serrated. The attached grips rate in about Very Good-Fine overall condition. Included are two sets of additional checkered wood grips with smooth diamonds around the grip screw holes. Both show some rub wear to the checkering and have nicks at their tops and bottoms. The additional grips rate in about Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. There are some small scratches and tiny tiny dings infrequently scattered about. There is a notable area of rubbing through the finish on the left side of the slide near the muzzle end. There are some minor nicks in the backstrap serrations. The screw heads are lightly tooled with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with this gun are the previously mentioned grips and three additional magazines, making a total of four. All of the magazines show standard operational wear with strong feed lips and springs. The magazines rate in about Fine overall condition.
