Markings: The left of the slide is marked “CHAMPION / CAL .45”. The right of the slide is marked with “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” and the Springfield Armory crossed cannon logo. The right of the frame is marked “S.I. GENESEO IL USA / MADE IN BRAZIL-IMBEL / N564848”. The top and right of the barrel is marked “S.A. .45 AUTO”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated Trijicon blade with a tritium insert and is dovetailed into the front of the slide. The rear sight has been removed and the slide has been installed with a dovetail mount with a Burris Fastfire 3 red dot sight. The red dot has some scattered light wear including a few marks through the finish. The dot functions correctly. The red dot rates in about Excellent condition. The front sight insert has dimmed slightly but still produces a strong glow that is easily acquired in low light.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered wood panels with double diamonds and crossed cannon logos. There are a few scattered light marks. There are no chips, cracks, rips, or tears. The grip panels are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There are a couple of freckles of faint surface erosion and one of the lands has a couple of tool marks.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some scattered little draglines and scuffs, a few marks have caused smooth spots to the metal. There are takedown marks on the left side of the frame. There is operational wear. The screw sockets are strong. The markings are clear. Overall this handgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching case, holster, dual magazine holder, two 7-round magazines, and paperwork including the manual.
Our Assessment: Springfield Armory has long been one of the finest producers of 1911-style pistols in America and this is no exception. This particular pistol comes packed with features such as angled rear slide serrations, extended beavertail grip safety, skeletonized hammer and trigger, and a serrated straight mainspring housing. This one has been installed with a nice Fastfire 3 red dot sight and will be a blast to shoot. This example is in Fine Plus condition and looks like it has seen pretty standard range use. This is a beautiful gun in high condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection, but where it will really shine is out at the range. Please see our photos and good luck!
