Markings: The left of the slide is marked with an outline of the Gunsite Ranch bird logo at the rear, the left of the dust cover is marked “CAUTION – CAPABLE OF FIRING / WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED”. The right of the frame is marked “SW1911 / UBZ7948” and “S&W SPFLD, MA / USA”. The top of the chamber is marked “45 AUTO”. The right side of the slide is marked with the Gunsite Ranch bird logo at the midsection.

Barrel Length: 4.25”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a brass dot on the rear face and is dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a Novaks square notch lo mount sight dovetailed and screw set to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood with a line of stacked birdtails. The front strap is serrated and the flat mainspring housing is checkered. There are light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Matte Black with Black Alloy Frame

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is some minor thinning on the edges of the slide and a few spots of lighter thinning on the slide. There are some little marks on the frame from use. The screw heads have some light wear, with some more notable wear on the right grip panel screws. The pinheads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Fine Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide-to-frame fit has almost no play. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in an olive green Maxpedition soft case with three 8-round magazines and an S&W bushing wrench. One magazine is S&W, one is Wilson Combat, and one is Act-Mag. The mags have light operational wear and rate in about Fine Plus condition, the Wilson mag rates about Excellent.
