Our Assessment: The S&W model 60 is a popular little revolver for backup and ankle carry and was the first stainless revolver Smith & Wesson ever put into production. This revolver was manufactured in so many variations that the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson’s description is on 4 pages. Variations from of barrel lenghts, magnum chamberings, target sights, +p, stainless, lady smith…the list goes on. There were a lot of special orders for police departments, with special serial numbers as well. This one is an interesting model, it is chambered for .357 maganum, has target sights and a two-piece construction 5” barrel. These are not all that common and will certainly make a fun addition to your S&W collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
