Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”, the left is marked “S&W .357 MAGNUM”. The left side of the frame has S&W’s monogram logo, the right has the four-line Marcas Registradas address. The sideplate is marked “Pro Series”. The sides of the grip frame and the crane have inspection marks. The yoke cut is marked “DLB7112 / 60-15”. The butt is marked with the serial number. The underside of the top strap is marked “A”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped Trijicon blade with a tritium insert and is pinned to a rise in the serrated rib. The rear sight is square notch micrometer click adjustable sight attached to the topstrap. The tritium insert is bright and easily acquired in low light.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece laminate wood with S&W logos, checkered portions, and textured stippled areas. There are some light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The texturing and checkering are strong. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few light handling marks scattered over the surfaces. There are a few little rubs and minor scuffs, some have caused smooth spots, the most noticeable is on the backstrap. There are some light marks through the finish, most noticeable on the right side of the frame at the rear of the cylinder at the top. There are light handling marks. There is a light turn line on the cylinder. The markings are clear and easily read. Overall, this revolver is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder has minimal play on each chamber with the trigger depressed. The double-action trigger is smooth, the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching case and a Galco black leather holster.
Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson Model 60, the world’s first stainless steel revolver, was a success since its introduction in 1965. Praised by both law enforcement and sportsmen, the Model 60 was a stainless steel version of the Chiefs Special; and began the era of stainless steel handgun production. The Model 60 is the perfect choice for those seeking a small frame, all-steel revolver with greater recoil control and proven performance. It has been popular with law enforcement and citizens alike since its release and is in production to this day. This revolver was manufactured in so many variations that the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson’s description is on 4 pages. Variations from of barrel lengths, magnum chamberings, target sights, +p, .357 magnum, lady smith…the list goes on. There were a lot of special orders for police departments, with special serial numbers as well. This one is from 2019 and is a Pro Series model with a 3″ slabside barrel and most notably is chambered for .357 Magnum.
