Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”, the right “S.&W. 357 MAGNUM”. The left side of the frame has S&W’s monogram logo, the right has the four line Marcas Registradas. The yoke cut is marked with “M” above the serial and model numbers. The yoke and sides of the frame have inspection marks. The butt is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 4”, with full underlug and solid, serrated rib.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp blade with a red insert, integral to a rise in the solid, serrated rib. The rear sight is a flat top, square notched leaf in a base that is micrometer-click adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth Goncalo Alves target stocks with S&W medallions at their tops. There are two little scratches on the right panel below the screw. There is a faint tiny compression on the left panel by the screw. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There are scattered small spots of faint surface erosion with a couple small spots of deeper erosion at about the midsection.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few nicks into the finish, the most noticeable are left side of the barrel. The trigger guard has a few tiny freckles of dark discoloration from previous oxidation. The trigger guard also has one or two nicks. There are a few tiny marks on the frame, the most noticeable is on the left side at the rear corner above the grip. The cylinder has a thin turn line that has thinned the finish. The screw heads show tool marks with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder produces very light side to side play with no measurable back play in full lockup of all 6 chambers. The double action trigger pull is smooth, the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
