Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “500 S&W MAGNUM”, the right is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The left side of the frame has an S&W monogram and “L” with arrow for frame lock indication, the right is marked with the four-line Marcas Registradas. The yoke cut is marked with the serial and model numbers, the butt is marked with the serial number. The yoke and sides of the grip frame have inspection marks. The sideplate is marked “S&W500”.
Barrel Length: 8 3/8″, 9″ to the end of the Compensator
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge blade fixed to a rise in the serrated rib. The rear sight is a white outlined flat top square notched leaf in a micrometer-click adjustable base. Under the rear sight base, the topstrap is drilled and tapped for mounting optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece S&W monogram pebble-textured Hogue Monogrip with finger grooves. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the Electro Chemical Machined rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered light scuffs and handling marks. There are a few little scuffs and rubs, the most noticeable are on the trigger guard and bottom of the underlug at the frame. The cylinder has a complete turn-line. The hammer and trigger have light operational wear, the hammer checkering is sharp. The screw heads are lightly worn. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup produces very light side to side play on each chamber with the trigger depressed. The double-action trigger is smooth. The single-action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with a serial matching hard case, paperwork including test-fired brass & manual, and a spare front sight blade. The case has some light scuffs from use, mainly on the bottom, it is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
