Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”, the right is marked “45 COLT CTG.”. The side plate has S&W’s monogram logo, the right side of the frame has the four line Marcas Registradas. The crane cut is marked with the serial and model numbers. The crane and the sides of the grip frame have inspection marks. The butt is marked with the serial number. The rear face of the cylinder is marked “9”.
Barrel Length: 6″, Pinned
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated, ramped blade with a red plastic insert, integral to a rise in the serrated rib. The rear sight is a white-outlined square notch adjustable for windage and elevation, slotted and screw-secured to the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered Goncalo Alves target stocks with S&W medallions at their tops. There is a mark that has splintered the wood on the back edge along the checkering on the left panel. There are some scrapes through the finish and some dings, the most noticeable are on the front of the grips. There is a small gap behind the trigger gaurd. The checkering is mainly sharp but there are a few marred peaks on the left panel by the screw. Overall, the grips are in about Very Good-Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There are a few small spots of surface erosion at the midsection.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some spots of frost on the left of the frame. There are some little dings and nicks into the finish, most noticeable on the bottom of the frame and left of the barrel at the front. The cylinder has a few little marks on the front edge and there is a light turn line. There are some light swirls and draglines from use and storage, most noticeable on the cylinder. The red front sight insert has a few little nicks. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger is smooth and the single action trigger is crisp. The cylinder lockup is solid on each chamber. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
