Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “S&W 357 MAGNUM MODEL OF 1989.” The frame is marked with the serial number “BEK4050.” Also the Marcas Registradas is on the right side of the frame.

Barrel Length: 5 ½” with Full Lug

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red ramp blade integral to a serrated ramp base fixed to the barrel rib. The rear sight is an S&W micrometer click adjustable square-notch blade sight.

Grip Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece Hogue Monogrip with a cobblestone texture. The grips show minor handling wear and are slightly shy to the frame edges. The grip rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Type of Finish: Stainless Steel

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with sharp rifling. There is light fouling present but no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 97% of its metal finish. The unfluted cylinder features longer cylinder stop notches and shows minor burn marks consistent with light use. The stainless surfaces exhibit faint handling marks and minor scuffs, primarily around the cylinder and frame edges. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings remain crisp and legible. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
