Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “.45 ACP”, the right side is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The right side plate is marked with “JM” over lightning bolt. The right side of the frame is marked with the four line Marcas Registradas, the left with the “SW” monogram logo. The butt is marked with the serial number. The crane cut is marked “CXR1536 / 625-8”. The crane, rear face of the cylinder under the ejector, and sides of the grip frame have inspection marks. The underside of the topstrap is marked “A”.

Barrel Length: 4”, with full underlug and wide, solid rib.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a brass bead which is pinned to the rib; the top of the rib is serrated for glare reduction. The rear sight is a square notched leaf in a micrometer-click base that is adjustable for windage and elevation. The top strap is drilled and tapped in three places for an optic mount (no mount included).

Stock Configuration & Condition: The installed grip is smooth wood with the “JM” logo at the bottom on each side, mounted using a Hogue-style bracket. There are small cracks where the grip transitions into the backstrap down at the bottom. There is a gap between the right edge and the backstrap. There is a crack on the left side where the backstrap widens into the frame. There is light wear from use and storage. Overall, the grip appears is in Very Good due to cracks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the Electro Chemical Machined rifling is strong and well defined. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some light marks from storage. There are a few scuffs and marks on the cylinder that have caused smooth spots and there is a complete turn line. The right of the barrel has a few light scratches. There are a few smooth spots on the trigger guard. The barrel is slightly overtightened. The trigger and hammer have light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The single action trigger is crisp, the double action is smooth. There is very little side-to-side play on each chamber. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching box, 15 moonclips, and paperwork including the manual. The case has some scuffs and a few light scrapes. There are a couple spots of stress discoloration. The case is in about Fine condition.
