Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked “952-2 / DAB0916”. The right side of the frame is marked with the S&W Performance Center Logo.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is an adjustable square notch target sight with a serrated rear face and is dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood with S&W monogram logos and smooth borders. There are a few light handling marks but no major defects. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some stubborn fouling.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is an S&W soft case and a pair of 9-round magazines.
Our Assessment: In the year 2000 when S&W released the 952 through the performance center it was billed as the most accurate 9mm in the world. This may have been a true statement if nothing more it is a very bold statement from S&W. This pistol is the stainless steel 952-2 from 2004 and judging by the looks it may not have been out of its case since then! The gun looks great with the lightest of wear. Honestly, we have seen guns worse then this described on the web as NIB by other sellers. The gun feels amazing and the trigger crisp and smooth.
