Markings: The left side of the rib is marked “PERFORMANCE CENTER.” The right side of the rib is stamped “.44 MAGNUM HUNTER.” The right side of the frame bears the Smith & Wesson Marcus Registratus rollmark, and the left side of the frame displays the Performance Center monogram. Internal yoke/under-lug stamps include the provided serial number. Grips are a one-piece monogrip style with a cobblestone texture and a Smith & Wesson medallion.
Barrel Length: 7 1/2? (barrel), overall length with compensator approximately 8 3/4?; threaded muzzle fitted with a large ported compensator.
Sights / Optics: Integral top rail on the barrel; dovetailed front ramp with a high-visibility orange insert and a micro-click adjustable rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: One-piece rubber monogrip (Hogue style) with cobblestone texture; shows light handling wear consistent with service/use, no gouges or separations observed.
Magazine/Cylinder: 6-shot swing-out cylinder, conventional star ejector; cylinder appears to be a standard large-frame .44 configuration.
Type Of Finish: Matte/blued frame and barrel with contrasting stainless or polished cylinder and stainless compensator; overall finish presents as well applied with localized handling marks.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: Finish retained is approximately 95% with honest, light handling marks and minimal high-edge wear at controls and the muzzle lip. The cylinder face and forcing cone area show mild evidence of use but no pitting or damage that would affect function.
Mechanics: Action cycles smoothly by hand with a crisp trigger feel and intact hammer work. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Accessories: Large ported compensator (installed). No box or paperwork noted.

This example presents attractively with strong bore condition and high retained finish, the compensator and high-visibility sight work, making it purposeful for extended-range cylinder-gun work. The combination of Performance Center markings, rail provision, and the factory-applied front sight insert makes this a distinctive modern take on the heavy-caliber S&W hunter revolver.
