Our Assessment:
The Smith & Wesson Model 57 was introduced in the mid-1960s as a powerful, yet manageable alternative to the larger .44 Magnum revolvers. Chambered in the potent .41 Magnum cartridge, the Model 57 has become prized by handgun enthusiasts for its accuracy, reliability, and versatility in hunting, target shooting, and personal defense scenarios.
This example, manufactured in 1973, remains in remarkably fine condition, showing approximately 95% original finish retention, complemented by vibrant case coloring on its target hammer and trigger. Its minor oxidation and handling marks indicate careful usage, yet do not detract from its overall excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition.
Highly regarded among collectors and shooters alike, this revolver offers an excellent opportunity to own a classic and powerful firearm from Smith & Wesson’s prestigious N-frame lineup. It would be a perfect addition to any collection or an exceptional companion for the discerning shooter. So bid high and bid firm.
