Markings: The barrel is marked, “10MM / SMITH & WESSON” The left side of the frame is marked with the S&W trademark logo. The bottom of the grip frame has the serial. The right side of the frame is marked, “SPFD, MA / S&W U.S.A.” The inside of the crane arm and crane cut are marked, “CNS2975 / 310NG / 1500”

Barrel Length: 2 3/4?

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a pinned Trijicon night sight, the tritium still glows. The rear sight is a large U-notch affixed to the top strap.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The grips are 2 piece checkered round butt walnut with S&W medallions at their tops. The grip screw is slightly tool marked. There are a few scattered extremely light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, these grips are in Excellent condition. There is a second set of factory checkered rubber grips in Very Good condition.

Type of Finish: Blued, Anodized.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition:  This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are faint hairline scratches throughout the finish. There is a crisp turn line. There are drag lines on the flash shield. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this revolver rates in Very Good to Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action is smooth. The cylinder locks up with minimal side-to-side movement. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
