Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “44 MAGNUM,” and the left side is marked “SMITH & WESSON.” The right side of the frame features the Smith & Wesson trademark monogram. The serial number “N812921” is clearly marked on the butt and crane recess.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red ramp blade. The rear sight is a square-notch micrometer click adjustable for windage and elevation.
Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece Goncalo Alves checkered target grips with a speed-loader (“football”) cut. The grips exhibit beautiful grain with crisp, sharp checkering and minimal handling marks. They rate in about Excellent to Like-New overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion or fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains approximately 98% of its original blued finish. The surfaces show only very minor handling marks, indicative of careful storage and minimal use. The case-colored target trigger and wide target hammer retain vivid coloration. The cylinder displays a faint, nearly imperceptible drag line that does not penetrate the finish. Screw heads are sharp, and the pins are unmarred. All markings remain crisp and clearly legible. Overall, this revolver rates in Excellent to Like-New condition.
Mechanics: The action functions perfectly in both single and double action modes, featuring a smooth and crisp trigger pull and solid cylinder lock-up. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
