Action Type: 6-Shot, Single & Double Action Revolver with Swing-Out Fluted Cylinder w/ejector.

Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”, The right side of the barrel is marked “S&W .357 MAGNUM”.   The left sideplate is marked with the S&W logo and the right side of the frame with the four-line Marcas Registradas address. The crane cut is marked with “K15527 MOD 19-2”. The serial number is marked on the grip frame butt is stamped with the serial number “K684665”

Barrel Length: 2.5”, Pinned.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp blade, fixed to a rise in the barrel’s solid rib; the top of the barrel is serrated and matte finished for glare reduction. The rear sight is a flat top, square notched and white outlined leaf in a base that is micrometer-click adjustable for windage and elevation, screwed to the top strap.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood two piece grips with finger grooves. The stocks show almost no finish loss. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are swirl marks on the sideplates. and minor scratches and dings throughout.  The front of the cylinder has carbon rings around the chambers. The checkering on the hammer spur is sharp. The cylinder has a thin turn line present. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in very good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action trigger is smooth and the single action is extremely crisp with zero overtravel. The cylinder lockup has very little light play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
