Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 1st Model, known as the “Triple Lock,” is among the most desirable and collectible revolvers from Smith & Wesson’s golden age. Manufactured between 1907 and 1915, this early revolver is distinguished by its triple locking mechanism, shrouded ejector rod, and robust N-frame construction. Smith & Wesson later simplified this model, removing some of these distinctive features to reduce production costs, making these early examples highly sought after today. This particular revolver, manufactured in 1911, remains in remarkably good condition with approximately 95% of current finish retained, a bright bore, and superb mechanics. This Triple Lock represents a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire a historically significant revolver in impressive condition, suitable for display or careful shooting enjoyment. So bid high and bid firm. I highly encourage you to take a look at the condition in our high-quality photos. Good luck on your bid. -K.F.
